Quick start
- Sign the job contract and take the elevator up. Your first boss orders you to fire your old friend, which teaches you the basic attacks.
- Pick a worker. You start as The Temp, with Coffee Mug Toss, Roundhouse Kick, Uppercut and Forward Kick.
- Clear each floor of the Finance Tower. Coworkers drop money, and knocking them out of a window counts as a fire.
- After fights, pick a promotion or upgrade a move.
- Reach the top and beat your boss to take their job.
- Say yes when the board demands an expansion, then spend your profits in the tower.
- Start the next run with more unlocks.
How does combat work?
Each attack button plays your moves in order, like a rotation. Your list might say Mug Toss, then Uppercut, then Kick, so you always know what comes next.
Grabs matter too. When a coworker grabs you, wiggle out fast. Big hits and kicks launch enemies across the room, and anything that sends them flying out a window takes them out for good.
How do promotions and move upgrades work?
Promotions give you a choice of three: a new move, a buff such as "increase all kick damage," or healing. New moves are added to your list, so taking a second Coffee Mug Toss gives you two of them.
Move upgrades turn one move into a stronger one. For example, Karate Chop can become Karate Strike, and Jump Kick leads toward the Stampede Kick. Build around one type: kick workers like the Jogger scale best with kick damage promotions.
How do ammo moves work?
Mugs, knives, guns and other thrown moves have limited ammo. When a move runs dry, its slot stays empty until you upgrade it or take an ammo promotion. Keep a few melee moves so you still have damage for the boss.
How do you beat your boss and become CEO?
Bosses have far more health than coworkers and hit hard, so save a strong move for the fight. Knocking them off a ledge works as well as punching them down. Win, and you become the boss. The board then gives you orders, like expanding the tower or taking the company public on the Stock Market.
On your second visit as CEO, the board asks you to list the company. Agree, then press the direction the shareholders point to during the dance. That unlocks the "Going public" achievement.
How do you unlock more workers and modes?
Promotions earned across all runs unlock workers at 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 80 and 100. Finance Tower expansions like the Coffee Station, Gym, Cafeteria, Executive Floor and Personal Security each unlock one more. See the full list on the workers page.
Beyond the Finance Tower you'll open the Night Shift, the Fulfillment Center, Cage Fights, a Driving School and a city map, plus later areas like Neurolink, Foreign Manufacturing and the Billionaire Bunker where the Founder waits.
What currencies are there?
| Currency | How to get it |
|---|---|
| Money | Fire coworkers and finish runs |
| Paperclips | Break boxes in the Finance Tower and Fulfillment Center |
| Golden Top Hats | Finish a Finance Tower or Fulfillment Center run |
| Sweat | Hit sweating coworkers in the Fulfillment Center or the Gym, then stand in the puddles |
| Ghosts | Fire haloed coworkers during the Night Shift, then hit the ghost |
| Blood | Use the donation machine in clinics after buying the Blood Donation upgrade |
Tips
- Windows are your best weapon. A strong kick near a window clears a coworker instantly.
- Don't fill every slot with ammo moves. You'll be empty-handed when the boss shows up.
- Heal promotions are worth taking before a boss floor if you're low.
- Water fills your bladder. Winning with a full bladder unlocks "Hold it in!", but skip the toilet if you want it.
- Replay with new workers. Their passives change how runs play, and unlocking all 30 is an achievement.
FAQ
How do you get Blood in Stick It to the Stickman?
Buy the Blood Donation upgrade for the Fulfillment Center. Clinics then show up during runs, and the donation machine inside trades some of your health for Blood. It can't kill you.
How do you get Golden Top Hats?
Finish a run in the Finance Tower or the Fulfillment Center. You spend Top Hats in the Employee Evaluation Center, for example 3 of them to hire the Cowboy.
How do you unlock the Night Shift?
Grow your company to $16,500 on the Stock Market. That opens the Night Shift and four new workers: Overworker, Otaku, Custodian and Party Guy.
What happens after you become CEO?
The board sends you back to the bottom as an intern. Your money, expansions and unlocked workers stay, so every new run is stronger than the last.
Why do my moves stop working?
Ranged moves use ammo. When a move runs out it stays empty until you upgrade it or pick an ammo refill promotion.
